I've heard that some people pronounced it "wise" back in the day, but I was even worse. I called it Y.S. like an acronym. :lol:

@RyaNtheSlayA: Didn't you JUST get the C64?
Yeah, I'm not sure if it'll survive the purging, if it doesn't it'll be the last thing to go though. I have to at least get past the first level of Commando before I get rid of it.

Ha, we basically said the same thing about two minutes apart.

Smile I suppose :?

10+ weeks in, my mound septic is finally done-done. The mound got finished about a month ago after 6 weeks to construct it (as previously mentioned in this thread).

Then once the tank filled after 2 weeks and started to pump, the float mechanism which activates the pump, would not reset. It would activate and then the pump would just run non-stop (after the tank was emptied)...so for the last 2 weeks once it turned on, we'd have to go cut the breaker after 20 mins. Yep, took 2 weeks for the contractor to get back over here and do a 20 minute job.

At any rate, we "think" we are totally done here. We are pretty pleased with it - they put it on the tree line and cleared out some ugly shrubs, took out a few ugly trees in the yard to access the mound, and in a way, it actually looks nicer / cleaner out there.

The area before, where that bucket is in this pic, is where the new panel for the new system is now, as you can see there are a couple ugly trees, an ugly wood lean-to, and some piled up shrubbery that was removed for the mound placement:

Congrats! I know that is a good feeling. So what's the next project?

Right now, I'm taking a break from adding a couple of outlets in the bedroom and the hallway as well as a couple of bedside wall mounted reading lamps. Drilling holes through studs in a finished wall with a flexible bit and then fishing wire is not as easy as you think.

I'm also going to install some Insteon switches so that I can use a remote control to turn on/off lights in certain places. Home automation is a neat idea.

^Well, projects for the most part go on hiatus for DEC/JAN/FEB since the majority of my projects involve stain / polyurethane - and just too cold to do anything like that during those months.

I finished an entire lower level of our split level home about a year and a half ago and it has taken some prodding to get back into projects to be honest. That was a 24 month job, literally 5-6 nights a week for 4-12 hours per (depending on work).

I may post pics at some point.

I'm mostly a wood-woodworker, but I like restoring and framing as well. With the kids getting more active and "growing up", I don't have the time lately though, to do "quality work" with nice looking joints, and joining different woods together, etc.

I did finish off a large walk-in shower about 3 months back - that was the last major thing i've done.
