I go through my SNES top 10 probably about once a year:

Final Fantasy II
Secret of Mana
Link to the Past
Donkey Kong Country
Super Metroid
Mega Man X
Contra III
Super Mario World
Super Castlevania IV
(rotational, but this year Illusion of Gaia)

I've yet to finish Illusion of Gaia or Super Metroid this year, and sevin0seven and I beat Contra III this year at one of the meetups. Although it's not in the top 10, I can definitely see Gradius III being included in the list of SNES shmups I'll play every year.

I like to generally play very long adventure and RPG games. When I'm finished I need to break for at least a few years before I dive into the same game again.

The only games I play year after year are classic sidescrollers, run and gun, shooters, etc: Super Mario World, Contra, Metal Slug, Donkey Kong Country, R-Type, etc...

I've beaten Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle probly every year since i got them. Other than that, maybe not every year but I always go back to Killer 7 once in a while and Jet Grind Radio once every 2 years maybe

I play Arcanum and Legend of Zelda through about once per year.

I play Final Fantasy VIII through about once every two years.

I would say Mega Man X... but I play through that monthly.

I usually can't go more than 2 years before needing a FFVII, FFIX, or FFX fix.

I don't know why I enjoy playing through them so much, as I know most of the things that are going to happen by heart, but something about them really gets me.

- Megaman games (MM1-6 and X-X3 mostly)
- Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 3 hands down (whenever I reformat or get a new PC, or something like that, SD3 is the first rom I download. Has been for like 10 years).
- Deus Ex
- Sonic the Hedghoge 1-3&K, and CD
- Doom, lots and lots of Doom. It's usually "fresh" though since I continually play megawads out there and there's such a huge library of those it's amazing. I think I've hit up some of the best though, like Alien Vendetta, Memento Mori 1-2, Hell Revealed 1-2, Community Chest Pack 1-3, and many others.

Sums up some big ones. Other games I have replayed many times off the top of my head... Halo, Half-Life 1 and 2, Final Fantasy VI and VII, Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong Country games, The Lost Vikings, Flashback, Earthworm Jim, Vectorman 1-2, Ristar, Shinobi 3, Streets of Rage 2-3, Thunder Force 3-4, Blaster Master, a handful of Mario games (but damn it's been awhile on some of them!), the Resident Evil series is fun to marathon excluding RE5, Metal Gear Solid 1, and yeah I think that sums up a good list.
