Just got me Ghost Squad

Post by Curlypaul »

Just got it a bargain price and its flippin excellent. A brand new (to me anyway) AM2 arcade port, reminds of when I first got those saturn ports and marvelled at how close they were to the originals. Fantastic

It really is good game and the there are loads of different paths thru each level that need to be unlocked so I should be happy with this for ages.

I just heard about that game. It's for the Wii isn't it? I saw an awesome looking youtube video. I'm adding it to my list of reasons to think about buying a Wii. I love that light gun type games that seem to be getting popular on the Wii. I was never big on light gun games, but it was always fun to play one with a friend in the arcades every once in a while, and I loved Time Crisis 2 enough to buy the PS 2 version with the gun.

Yeah its for the wii, which seems to be holding a mini revival of the genre just lately I suppose since the controller has a pointer built into it which means you dont have to buy an expensive gun to play them. It got a few multiplayer options as well like coop and a party mode although I havent tried that yet.

I noticed that some of the outfits has erm interesting sillouettes. Pandas ay lol

Oh, and I must mention that if you really, really like this game you need to eventually pick up House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return. It is a very similar package with a few extras for $30! Good stuff.

It was a toss up between those 2 and the cut price on ghost squad won it for me. I will prolly get house of the dead sooner or later as well as its one of those titles I've always wanted but never managed to own.

Once you get two Perfect Shots the game becomes perfect. Sure you dont have the rifle like in the arcade, but they are very similar to the VC3 guns.

I played it a little, and found only one problem. Depending on the location of the sensor bar, the aim gets thrown off. Where I played it, the sensor was right beneath the screen, and I was still a good six inches off. I was having to point my gun at the floor to hit midscreen... It's more a problem with the Wii I'm guessing, but how do you guys cope with it?
