It is just the receiving end, but they do need NSFW. One's boss or kid walking behind you isn't going to be understanding.
my bad add'd NSFW labels

God have mercy on your soul if you listen to that through headphones. The voice was so annoying and unintelligible, that I gave up after a minute.
Selling half my NES/SNES/PS1 collection (ending Dec 1):

it's odd to me that you guys find so much room for hate of a store. There's definitely way more important shit out there to bother you. Then a store just becomes y'know... "a place you can buy stuff if you feel like it."

Bitching and hating on things is fun. For me at least. BUT the reason some of us get so heated up about this particular issue is because we believe GameStop, the corporation itself, is driving something that we love into the ground.

I get that and I don't. I mean, I assume what yr talking about is mom-n-pop-used-game-stores, right? I never hear anybody bitch that eBay and Amazon are driving something we love into the ground. But when I go to my local retro store, I tend to only buy games that aren't based on eBay prices. If I'm getting a deal, then cool. But if I say to myself "meh, I could get this for the same price with a couple clicks any time day or night" then I don't bother.

That's because Amazon is heart.

This just in. People on a video game forum care about video games. In other news, water is wet.

I think what he's saying is that instead of spending 114 pages bitching about Gamestop, we could probably just, you know, stop buying from there.

Not sure where you're going with this, but my local Gamestop has definitely put ~2 awesome local game stores out of business that tried to setup shop in close range within them.
I am a lucky SOB that has two Vintage Stock's very close by though and Gamestop probably can't touch them since they do used electronics in general, comics, toys, collectibles, etc.
Anyways I think all of us are kind of overreacting here sometimes. I am still surprised this thread is so huge, because I think it should just be a general fact that Gamestop sucks balls, but yeah. That video I posted on the last page sums up my thoughts on the store thesedays. And like I've said throughout here on the boards, I'll never forget the time that Gamestop employee opened up my copy of Megaman ZX to play it for a few minutes without my approval, before I could leave with it. That video isn't an exaggeration at all though really. Best Buy and other stores are bad with that stuff, but I haven't gone to Gamestop in years and go to Best Buy or Target for new games instead.
