I eventually settled for $7 off ebay for the xbox version also

You can also get SVC chaos on the original xbox (US), much cheaper than the AES cart.
Or import it on the JPN ps2.

But in terms of modern Neo Fighters, SVC Chaos AES isn't that expensive ($300 for a brand new US version)

Same here. I was new to AES when that was going on, and I didn't realize that was a "sale". Funny thing, the used ebay copies were still going for $300 while they were selling brand new ones for 200
