Re: Playstation 3DTV Display
The thing I have the biggest issue with is their customer support is completely shit. Almost less helpful than Microsoft is/was. Anyways, what do you define as quality? I define quality as good picture clarity as well as good colour accuracy. The former being okay to good on Vizio TVs and the latter being terrible on most sets. Though I guess that's the case on most TVs.KillerJuan77 wrote:Mine has better quality than my dad's LG screen. Their high end has been steadily getting better, being on par with stuff from Sony at around the same price, but, they don't have much of anything to write home about.
On the subject of the PlayStation 3DTV, I played with one yesterday and it's nice, but I don't think I'd fork over the asking price for it.
What I was impressed with at Sony Style were the personal 3D headsets they have. Beyond the obvious comparisons to the VirtualBoy, I found them to be pretty comfortable and I didn't get the nausea that I usually associate with 3D displays... but it's $800...

Re: Playstation 3DTV Display
Vizio televisions do have a very poor reputation. There is a reason I bought a Samsung 50" plasma.
Re: Playstation 3DTV Display
Since this is on topic,
I am a bit confused this 24inch screen is like $500
but I can pick up a 40inch tv for a price close to that around here.
I dont know how this works but 20inch pc monitors are very close in price to 32-40 inch tv's its like only $132 in price difference which is nothing if you are going to use as a pc screen AND tv .
Also I have an issue with smaller pc displays since they always seem to have something wrong with their brightness, color, contrast while on TV's they almost got it perfect now. So its safer to get the tv.
I would buy this Sony TV except its only 24inch which cant be my TV, and $500 for NOT a tv is too much especially when I dont care about the 3D or the semi-view thing which gives me the feeling that it raised the price significantly on the playstation tv

You "would buy" this TV if it weren't for the size, price, and features?kingmohd84 wrote:I would buy this Sony TV except its only 24inch which cant be my TV, and $500 for NOT a tv is too much especially when I dont care about the 3D or the semi-view thing which gives me the feeling that it raised the price significantly on the playstation tv

Re: Playstation 3DTV Display
I'm sorry but I really doubt you have any idea what good brightness, color, and contrast is. If you think TVs have it down you're sorely mistake. Most TV manufacturers adjust their sets to be much brighter, bluer, and saturated than what is accurate because it sells to unknowing (and uncaring?) people. They still don't have black levels that are completely black and there are all sorts of other small problems with TVs. I'd hardly say they've got it perfect.kingmohd84 wrote:Since this is on topic,

Besides that, PC monitors are typically much higher quality than TVs, which is why a decent 20" PC screen can approach 27-30" TVs in price.
Try using a calibrated set, and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Re: Playstation 3DTV Display
I am trying to get a good PC monitor which would u recommend ? Honestly I bought only $300 pc monitor , samsung syncmaster, totally sucked in my opinion. Sucked so much that I sold it for half price after less than 2 months use. I dont want to get a sucky monitor again.
most of my friends who got TV's, even with different brands and year models, they still display better picture than that monitor I got. So thats why I made that assumption.
@zing
I know what you are saying , but I mean I would buy this TV if I had more screen size than 3d and the different pov thing I am looking for quality display not the extra features

Well I love my Asus Pro Art and would recommend it to anybody. Also Apple's 24" and 27" Cinema Displays are really nice, and would be a valid choice if you use a Mac.

You can get an older 20" for a very affordable price. The ProArts aren't that expensive either.kingmohd84 wrote:apple cinema display are very expensive!!
