Metal Heads Assemble!!
Re: Metal Heads Assemble!!
Gotta say Peph, I agree with you about Warbringer. They're ok I suppose, but something about them just doesn't quite click, you know? Not in the way that something like Municipal Waste has done for me.
Re: Metal Heads Assemble!!
spreading the word for a friend of mine who's been working on this record for close to 6 years now. it sounds amazing and i can't wait for it to be released. if you like epic, fantasy-based progressive metal, you'll definitely like this.

Re: Metal Heads Assemble!!
Anyone heard of Acrassicauda? They're really good, IMO.
"Acrassicauda is an Iraqi thrash metal band formed in 2001. It is often credited as being the first heavy metal group to emerge from Iraq. The band consists of three Arab members and one Assyrian (Tony Aziz Yaqoo). The band formed and played concerts under the regime of Saddam Hussein. It became well known outside of the local Iraqi metal scene after Vice magazine did a profile of the band. It received even greater coverage when it was profiled in a feature-length documentary about the band and its troubles in Iraq called Heavy Metal in Baghdad. The band's first album was released on March 9, 2010."

Re: Metal Heads Assemble!!
I just finished that one. Meh. It's alright. That's kind of how I'm feeling about this so far. It is very ambitious, but it's just not catching me. The last album was a lot better, so far. But I still have a few songs to go through.Gamerforlife wrote:Awesome! Nice job finding that! Can't wait for some snow to fall - I've been on a big Hecate Enthroned kick.. Well, Upon Promethian Shores, The Slaughter of Innocence, and Dark Reqiuems.. Kings of Chaos and on just feel too grindcore-death to me.. I love the more symphonic black metal!
