What? They play Sci-Fi on SyFy? I thought that was the wrestling channel.

Oh yeah, I remember it. The first anime I ever saw was on there, too, and I've been trying to find it ever since: Casshan: Robot Hunter. But all I can seem to find is some anime series from the late 70s or 80s about the same character. Unfortunately, that's not what I saw, what I saw was made in the late 80s or 90s and was definitely more modern feeling and was movie-length anime.indecks wrote: Sci-fi used to have The Invisible Man which was pretty cool too. Anyone remember that show? And of course "Adventures in Japanese Animation" in the mid 90s. It's where I was introduced to Lensman and Vampire Hunter D.
I also saw Akira there, which blew me away with the "special effects".

There´s a sequel. It´s called Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust. I learned this from the shmups forum, in the Akira thread.indecks wrote:Vampire Hunter D.
Bloodlust is ...... I can honestly say even better than Vampire Hunter D part 1. For those that never seen it, look for both of these movies. It´s the closest thing we´ll ever come to a Castlevania anime!

Yeah. I hated it. Granted i only watched it once years ago, but I hated it. It wasn't anything like the original, at least to me.
