Having a Graduate degree or even a PhD doesn't make it any easier to find a job these days. Which is unfortunate, but true.

You can hopefully ride out the storm, though. 2 year MA + 5 year PhD = 7 years I didn't/don't have to worry about the crashed economy.

Oh god does the job market blow ass. I graduated in 2005 and have NEVER been able to find a job related to my degree. I do childcare work, farm, work at a storage facility, and do some internet shit too. Anything to pay the bills.

What's your degree? If it's something like "classical studies," you're gonna have a hard time getting a job related to that in any economy.

BoneSnapDeez, I feel your pain! I got my BA in English Lit and was informed after the fact that my GPA was too low to qualify for taking the teacher's licensing exam in NJ or PA.
Since graduating in '06, I've been a telesales rep, account manager, reactor operator, lawyer's assistant, and now I'm finally looking to settle into the IT field...
