A: Battlemage - Fire in one hand and a sword in the other, peppering enemies with spells before finishing them off with a crack to the skull. Medium or heavy armor. Will become a werewolf.

B: Rogue - Bows, daggers, swords. Relying on stealth and lock picking to get in, steal everything, and kill everyone. Light or medium armor. Probably will become a vampire.

For A, the group you become a werewolf with will mock and demean you for using magic. Also, though I like the quest line, werewolf isn't all that practical. Transforming takes a good 5 seconds, during which you're vulnerable, and then you are forced into third-person. Best use is complete immunity from disease.

B- rogues are stupidly good in this game, and it's a fun playstyle. One of my friends is stealth/destruction, though he took an illusion perk that makes his spells silent. The result is that he uses a Kamehameha on a guy, blows him away, and his buddy doesn't notice.

FYI, I am without a doubt going to do both of those characters at some point. It's just a matter of which I do first or second.

As to the werewolf thing as long as it looks bad ass I don't really care, lol. I'm more of a fashion over function kind of player unless it's a really hard game (And past experience with Bethesda games shows me that while they can have difficulty spikes at times, overall they aren't too bad for me).

Lastly, ohmigod that's cool sounding. It almost makes me wan't to train a bit in destruction with my eventual thief.

Really enjoying Skyrim so far. I don't know what it is, but it feels so much better than Oblivion or Fallout 3 to me.

One big complaint is the shadows sometimes being ridiculously blocky. At least on the PS3. I've never seen anything quite like it, but it looks awful.

So, I officially won skyrim forever. I had Mai'q the Liar assist me in slaying a dragon. He just went barehanded on the thing.

Yeah, but they're still not nearly as annoying as the Oblivion gates. I just stand there, wait a minute for him to decide to melee me, and then destroy him with my double daedric axes and a weakening shout. With the Oblivion gates you either had to deal with a steady stream of lesser daedra or go through a mini dungeon. Much longer to deal with. Of course, there's no longer the lure of a massively overpowered enchanting gem, but that's ok.

So they've already thrown a curveball at me, and now I'm going to delve deeper into some of the low level lore of the Elder Scrolls universe. I'm quite excited.

Also, according to Steam I'm 52 hours in.

The cool thing about this game is that there isnt really any classes. You just do what you like and those skills level up. My character is going to be good at everything. Planning on getting every skill to 100.

Hmmm, I still like to stay within the initial parameters of each class specialization. This is my first ever Nord in an Elder Scrolls game. I'm a walking tank!

I can't imagine getting every skill to 100 for one character. I've been primarily focused on smithing, one-handed, heavy armor, and enchanting.

So I discovered that in a fight, a giant will beat a dragon. I had a dragon drop down on top of me and aggro a giant from a nearby camp. That sucker went down quick under the big guy's club, and then he just stood there like nothing had happened, despite the fact he's got this massive lizard corpse coiled around him.

I'm playing a Nord, by the way. Focused on heavy armor and two handers, specifically hammers, with some extra thrown into smithing to make sure I can upgrade everything.

Also, werewolf.

The random encounters in this game are great. I watched a couple snow trolls battle a dragon while I just watched from a small icy ledge. Eventually, both trolls were destroyed, and I flung maybe six arrows into the dragon to finish it off.
