Quick question: is there a reason why Bomberman 94 was selected as opposed to Bomberman in general?

Because it's the bomb. (Lame, I know. :P )

Seriously though, it's one of the better Bomberman titles and it's on multiple systems.

Opa Opa is right in both accounts. Bomberman is a soso single player title, Bomberman 94 however is one of the best in the series.

Jan - Golden Axe Warrior
Price seems to put this one out of my reach. I may have to emulate via Kega.

Feb - Soul Calibur 1
Don't have a Dreamcast. I think I'll play SC2 on my Gamecube. I love fighting as Link. This was the first game that made me want to own a Gamecube (though I never owned one until 2009).

Mar - Y's I
I don't care for rpgs. I don't generally have the patience for them. I'll probably pass on this one.

April - Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2
I've honestly never played a Tony Hawk game. This could be interesting.

May - Wolfenstein 3D
I'm was a big fan of DOOM in my childhood. I heard that this game was an influence upon DOOM.

June - Command & Conquer
Much like RPGs, I don't generally have the patience for strategy games.

July - Treasure Heroes 2 Pack - Guardian Heroes and Gunstar Heroes
I love beat 'em ups. I really want to try Guardian Heroes, but lack a Sega Saturn or 360. Do I have other options?

August -Bomberman 94
pass

Sept - Super Mario Brothers 2/Doki Doki Panic
What the heck, I might as well play Super Mario Bros. 2 again. I don't see why anyone should complain about this. While it's not the highlight of the series, SMB2 is a good game in its own right.

October - Maniac Mansion/Crush series
Never played Maniac Mansion. I might give this a try.

November - Panel de Pon
pass

December - Do Don Pachi
I'll probably play this via MAME. I might need to ask for advice on MAME setup when December '12 rolls around.

there's a GBA "sequel" called Advanced Guardian Heroes. It looks fantastic, but I don't find that it plays all that great. But still, it's an option.

There's also the XBLA port.

I picked up a copy of Command & Conquer yesterday for £2 on PS1, so that solved that decision for me. Iwas struggling to choose which console version to go for - the PS1 and N64 have extra missions over the saturn version, and the n64 has 3D graphics which I actually personally like the look of. Of course, it doesnt have the FMV sequences like the others. The Saturn version doesnt really have any advantages over the other 2, but I just like the controller

With that bought, I'm equipped to join in on Command & Conquer, Mario 2, Gunstar & Guardian Heroes and Bomberman '94 now. I'll be picking up some more after Christmas.
