Love it.

Definitely not liking the item trading bit, will try to find the GBA version once I've finished this copy.

Thanks so much everyone for participating. This game has been on my backlog list for years, and really appreciate the extra push to get started.

Chapter 7 is taking forever. I think I'm on the last battle of that chapter though so I'll probably finish it tonight. After that only one more chapter to go.

Also welcome to archestratus. :)

Wow, these chapters are long. just got through chapter 2.
Music was beginning to get to me. Major benefit of playing the 360 version, is that you can play custom tunes off the hard-drive while playing.
Shining Force goes really well with the Golden Axe soundtrack.
On to chapter 3.

Aww I enjoy the SF soundtracks. I find myself whistling the tunes after I play them

Yeah, no idea why you'd play music over this stuff! That said, mixing in Golden Axe does sound really awesome, haha.

I love the placement/overworld themes but I can't stand the battle music now as there is no variety, even if it randomly swapped between 3 battle tracks that would be fine. I'm sick of hearing the same first 5 seconds of the track over and over.

Guess that's a good point. Does SF2 change up the music more often?

That's one thing the Tactics Ogre series does well. Feels like there's ~20 different battle themes in rotation with those games.

Well, just started chapter 2. I already have a feeling I've missed a character.

But damn this game is fun

I was leveling up Bleu but I just couldn't take it.

I've got Me, Ken, Mae, Vankar (will be getting rid of him soon), Tao, Domingo, Alef, Guntz, Luke, Amon (sucks, I'll level Balbaroy instead), Khris and the other healer.
