Well you could always buy games from sales. I have had live for a month and already saved $10 by buying Perfect Dark and Scott Pilgrim at half price.

I don't see that in this thread, I really don't. I see one post by ChuChu arguing that the price of Gold is ridiculous. The rest of those posting about the service (like myself) have explained that they fail to see the value or that they won't pay for something like Live on principle due to a belief that online gaming should be free. That's a very different than saying "$60 is too expensive."

Your whole argument seems really tangential to the previous discussion, and it seems like you really didn't read the thread.

I guess I misread Niode's post or something, but I took it as:

"Don't complain about Xbox Live because of its cost alone. If you play your cards right, you can get a Live subscription for next to nothing. Stop whining about the price and try to compare it to other services, because other services don't even come close.

I would have no trouble paying 60 dollars for Xbox Live if they'd just remove the ads. I don't mind paying money like that for a good service, I do mind paying that much for a good service then getting bombarded with ads.
