I like it quite a bit. At least the first 3 episodes anyway.KillerJuan77 wrote:I've been seeing the show, it's pretty disturbing TBH.noiseredux wrote:I've missed the last two episodes of American Horror Story, which sucks. That maid was really something in episode 3.

Grimm is a new show that's only 2 episodes in and has been pretty good. It's very Buffy like, but a little more serious-toned than Buffy was, I guess it was more Angel-like. Basically it centers around a cop who has just discovered that he is a Grimm, as in the Grimm Brothers that wrote all the fairytales. He learns that the reason they were written is because they were true stories and The Grimms wrote them to warn people. The Grimms are sort of like Slayers in Buffy. Only they can see the evil creatures true forms, while everyone else sees normal people. They also seem to have some sort of enhanced fighting abilities, at least the dying Grimm did. It's their job to hunt the evil ones.
Walking Dead This season has been incredible, just like last season. But we already have an entire thread dedicated to it.
I've also been really getting into Stargate: Atlantis, which is in reruns but I missed a lot of it, as I got on the boat in the last season or maybe it was partway through the season before the last.
I really liked the pilot of Terra Nova, A LOT. But the episodes after the pilot have been pretty run-of-the-mill and I've had trouble bringing myself to watch the last couple episodes on my DVR.
Beavis and Butt-Head are back with new episodes on MTV, and they're still just as funny as before. They didn't update a damn thing, and that's fan-freaking-tastic. And of course I still watch South Park, even after it's umpteenth season.
Also, I'm a lifelong wrestling fan, so WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown, and TNA Impact Wrestling are must-watches every week for me.
BTW, Green Lantern: The Animated Series debuts tonight on Cartoon Network. Set your DVRs, Tivos, and I better add VCRs since we're at Racketboy.

That was fantastic! I'm not a Green Lantern fan and I'd rather see Stewart or Kyle in the role, but that's okay. I'm cool with Hal and the quality of the premier was on par with anything from Batman: The Animated Series up to Justice League UnlimitedBurningDoom wrote:

Young Justice is really becoming must see television too! Cartoon Network is pushing DC hard, especially with this DC Nation thing. I love it!

Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
I started watching Once Upon a Time and I really like it. I heard people all over the net calling it a Fables ripoff, and as someone who reads Fables, let me say that that's total BS. It uses a concept that is similar, but the narrative and the way the characters are portrayed and used in the story is completely different from Fables in every way. It feels nothing like Fables. I caught an episode of Grimm, which people have also called a Fables ripoff and, again, it's very different. It's closer to Buffy or Supernatural than Fables
I hate when people blow things out of proportion like that. Having ONE similarity to something does not make it a ripoff.
Anyway, Once Upon a Time has charm. I like the characters, the casting, the story and the action sequences and special effects are up to par as well. Lastly, the evil queen is f***ing hot. I know she's bad and I'm supposed to hate her, but damn, she's the hottest thing on the show. She's got the sexy bad girl thing down pat, and I love a woman with dark hair. I'd keep watching just to check her out
Good thing everything else about the show is great too. I'd like to see this show stick around for a while. It's making Sundays a fun tv night along with The Walking Dead. Hell on Wheels looks fun too

Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
Sunday's for the past couple of years has been:
Sportscenter (a daily staple)
Fashion Police (watch it sometime. It's basically a roast lead by Joan Rivers, and once a week)
The Soup
Outside the Lines
The Sports Reporters (best show on espn, imo)
Sopranos
Sopranos again
*break*
Football (two games with pip)
More Football
Some more football and perhaps the Walking Dead (as long as it's not another episode of two guys crying for an hour).
Not sure how many people have the same routine, but my Sundays start pretty early, and it's my day to get laundry done, iron, clean the house, and get ready for the week. Besides yard work and grocery shopping, most of what I can get done can get done while watching the tube, so I watch a lot of TV on Sundays. In fact, it's one of the only days I watch live tv. I'm finding more and more often that I'm watching shows like B&B and South Park when they're available online, and that goes for a bunch of shows. Sync the laptop to the tv, and full episodes with limited, if any, commercials.

Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
Oh, and for those who are skeptical about Fashion Police, not too long ago Joan was reviewing a dress worn by Jennifer Lopez and remarked "With an ass that big, she could have made as just as much money by being a drug mule". There are a ton of crass jokes (who would have thought coming from Rivers
) that I'm surprised are aired so early in the morning.
