Re: Together Retro: Shining Force
so I'm almost at the 3rd chapter (again) now. It's way better this time since I'm grinding more so I'm just kicking straight ass.

Re: Together Retro: Shining Force
I have played this game 3 times and I never had the patience to level them up. Currently I am in Chapter 7 and birdmen in my force have never stepped/flew on the battle field.f0jji wrote:Just arrived at chapter 3.. let's see what those birdmen can do
I have read that they can be quite good if leveled up, you will have to let us know.
Re: Together Retro: Shining Force
The birdmen are pretty good levelled up, but I usually don't have the patience either. There are better flying characters, IMO. Specifically Bleu, Kokichi and Domingo.

Re: Together Retro: Shining Force
Last thing I did was defeat Mishaela. That was a tough one as she inconveniently places herself such that you can't swarm her with melee. I could use 3 archers from 3 squares away but they were only taking some 2 dmg per hit, my magic didn't damage her at all, and placed Max hacking away at her (and being healed) for some three turns.

I grabbed the Sword of Light before killing her about 5 minutes ago. It made it a piece of cake. My main was doing about 30 damage per hit.Ivo wrote:Last thing I did was defeat Mishaela. Re: Together Retro: Shining Force
I have been exhausted and the last two nights I have fallen asleep while playing the first battle inside the Tower of the Ancients.
Last night I fell asleep with my hand on the C Button (I don't really know if it was C, it was the 2 button on the WiiRemote). By holding the button I keep telling my characters to "stay" while the enemies swarmed. Enemies that got close enough were automatically attacked since the "attack" command is selected by default if near enemies. When I woke up I was down 4 party members, probably from the laser eye things, and at least one character leveled up.
Maybe tonight I'll try that battle again... if I can stay awake.
