I've heard II is better but since I've only played the first I'm going to have to go with that one.

started over on PS3. The sound is vastly improved from DC. It also seems to control a little better -- not as stiff feeling. And it's certainly easier to save! I'm about halfway through Chapter 1 right now.

I think 2 has the better story and if you find certain items some characters can be promoted to special classes. These elements make SF2 the better of the two cartridge based game, but I like the first one the best because it was the first SRPG I played/beat.
I have never finished SF3 or SFCD so I would have to say to me the original game is the best.

So I gotta say, considering how the first game is great stuff itself, if SF2 is even better that's just awesome!

Im conjuring up playing SF2 myself, the 1st was so addicting for me it flew by dont wanna do a 2nd playthrough just yet.

Two off topic things I wanted to say..

I think I discovered you can play Elemental Gearbolt w/ a mouse.I bing'd it and came up with nothing.

Rayman Origins Demo on XBL is fantastic minus the annoying chipmunk voices, and a somewhat small looking Rayman. The only other time Ive attempted was TR Rayman and wasnt feeling it,so this was a nice surprise.I loved the mosquito shmup section its was chill and casual.

I just picked up a copy of Shining Force (Genesis) for $8 at a local game shop. Yay!

I'm in Coral now, which means I'm at about the halfway point of the game.

I just finished Chapter 5 and finished the first battle of Chapter 6. Luke has become my favorite now, with every level up his speed gets boosted (which was his main issue). I went all out and bought him a Fire Axe. He basically steamrolls whatever enemies I throw him at now. He has a whopping 41 Attack with it and he's only at level 3 (Promo 1 obviously).

Ken is starting to show his inadequacy, he's still okay, but in the last 2 level ups Mae has boosted her HP to 40 and her defense is much higher.

Guntz is also really great so far, plus he doesn't seem to be effected by terrain nearly as much as other characters. He also seems extremely unlikely to miss, I think he's missed twice in all the SeaBat encounters.

Domingo is of course awesome, it's nice to have a mage that doesn't die when somebody breathes on them.
