SNES fuse repair
Re: SNES fuse repair
Dude, the fuse works like this: If it's rated for 1 amp, then that's the current it will allow to flow through it. Anything 1 amp or lower. If 1.1 amps tries to flow through it, it blows. So the SNES takes a 1.5 amp fuse. If 1.6 amps tries to flow through the fuse, the fuse will blow, thus preventing anything from blowing up inside the console. If you put a 10 amp fuse in there, you'll be allowing anything up to 10 amps to flow through it, which is WAAAAY too much considering the original fuse is rated at 1.5 amps.
Re: SNES fuse repair
well shit. i guess i'll go order .85-1.5 fuses then. thanks!
