How the hell do you people sleep at night?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

About a year or so I started listening to either the Final Fantasy or Shenmue soundtracks very low at night while I try to get to sleep. Found it helps me a lot more than just going to sleep normally.

Not to be disrespectful, but if you "don't really want [advice]", then why post it on here in the first place??? If you don't like compassion or generosity from others, then just say STFU and everyone will get the message. I guess I am probably one of those people that you don't know that creeped you out. My apology. I will refrain from commenting on your personal post next time. One advice though, do try take everything on here with a grain of salt as someone has told me.
I didn't ask for advice when I made the thread. I just wanted to hear how other people go about sleeping. It's a genuine question. Everyone has their methods. It's nothing more than a thread idea. But then people kept telling me specifically to try this and that, and I had to individually respond to all the advice.
ok....i was saying try this or that specifically and you don't really know me per se. But I did hope to creep you out just a little, so that worked.

guess i misunderstood, just trying to be helpful and list what works for me.

Heh, yeah there was just a few too many people making certain assumptions about me along with their advice so that's what I didn't like. No one here knows me in real life.

One may ask if you really exist at all......maybe you're just like the MCP in Tron with better sarcasm. :D

I don't get them from girls these days, so I wouldn't turn them down from guys. All human contact is good, aside from all this masculine high-fiving/handshake tomfoolery. Really getting tired of having to touch every guy's hands as a way of saying goodbye and hello.

I'm just creeped a bit because, collectively, people from all angles have kinda been throwing advice at me. And I don't really want it. And it's from people I don't know, or people who THINK I dislike them when I really don't, which then leads to me wondering why people take my brutal honesty as a sign of disrespect. It's just been kind of a weird fucking week.
Correction Mozgus. We KNOW you dislike us.

But back to the topic at hand, I lay in bed and close my eyes. Usually I leave my window open and turn on a fan or two, as I find the background noise relaxing, kinda like rain on a tin roof.

There is no such thing as "real life". Everyone knows that!

Sometimes I take some valarian, its pretty much an herbal answer to valium. Other times I'll just take some of my addies and study the night away... try sleep again tomorrow.
