Otomedius hits US Shores!

Post by shallowgamer »

The delays scared me, but it's finally here. I'm excited about 3 player simultaneous, but am worried it's going to be another frantic mess (anyone remember gigawing 2 4 player?)

Anyone got any first impressions?

I'm a Gradius fan [II mostly], so I would like to try it soon.

Here's the opening video if anyone is curious.

It's Gradius with scantily clad girls riding the space ships.

Another reason for me to get a 360, is it region free? I need to get a list of the region free ones or just get a Japanese 360,I think it may have to be a tax purchase.

I got it in the mail Saturday. So far, it feels like another Gradius game, but the multiplayer is really fun and definately worth $30.

Bryan,

No, Otomedius Excellent is not region free, but this game has received a US release! Which is cool of Konami to take a chance with here.

PS,
Play Asia is a good spot to check region compatibility for games. They have a 360 table that is out of date, but if you go the game's specific product page, you'll usually see the region compatibility.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that this is my first Shmup on 360. Now off to get both Raiden games, Deathsmiles, and the region free shmups!
