What was the last movie you've seen?

Just got back from seeing Tower Heist. It wasn't what I expected, and I mean that in a good way.

I kinda figured it would be a dirty comedy parody, but its not like that at all. They play it straight as a classic Heist movie.

Its a great ride and its genuinely funny. Go check it out.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Well I sat through the whole thing, which means it's okay imho.. But there's nothing new that they could have added. It also felt disjointed in places. Anyway an ape-worthy remake/prequel/reboot/whatever! Peter Jackson's King Kong on the other hand was a CG snorefest in comparison.

I thought it was pretty good. Looking forward to the inevitable sequel.

Thank you! I HATED that movie. I sat in the theater and wondered - out loud, mind you - when it was going to end.

EDIT: Forgot my movie.

Just watched Shrek 4. I don't get the dislike. A lot of my friends said it was terrible. I thought it was pretty good. Way better than 3 for sure. Shrek 2 is still the best of the series though. But fat Puss in Boots was awesome. I still need to watch the Puss in Boots movie.

I thought the King Kong movie was a feast for eyes. It was definitely better than the last King Kong remake made in the early 80s. But of course no remake is ever gonna live up the iconic image of the original King Kong.

1976 wasn't the '80s.

21 Jump Street is going to be awfully funny. The only thing the show and the movie have in common is that undercover cops go to high school. The rest...well, it seems like a comedy written in 2001. Not to say that's a bad thing, and I'm actually looking forward to it's nation wide release.
