Xbox 360, mod chips and Xbox Live
Is there any way to get a modded console while being able to play online? BTW I don't intend to play pirated games, I'm interested on many Japanese exclusives.

Maybe for a while, but you will most likely get banned. Microsoft is very anal about this stuff, and even having a replacement disc drive will cause the system to ban you. Sorry. Of course, there may be some way to get around it I don't know.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360
WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

Ahh, but isn't it kinda pointless? Then you have to have two consoles anyways.

Well, two consoles that play different games. The Last Horseman wrote:Ahh, but isn't it kinda pointless? Then you have to have two consoles anyways.
Honestly that's the route I would take were I interested in japanese games on 360.
Besides, I bet a japanese 360 can be had pretty cheaply, what with the system no longer really being sold in Japan.

I've been wanting to get a Japanese 360 BUT they cost a lot (Around 330 dollars).CFFJR wrote:Well, two consoles that play different games. The Last Horseman wrote:Ahh, but isn't it kinda pointless? Then you have to have two consoles anyways.

That's why they are expensive.CFFJR wrote:Well, two consoles that play different games. The Last Horseman wrote:Ahh, but isn't it kinda pointless? Then you have to have two consoles anyways.

Re: Xbox 360, mod chips and Xbox Live
You could always just get another [insert your region] 360 and mod it for japanese games. You won't be able to go on live with that console but you'll still have your intact 360.

Re: Xbox 360, mod chips and Xbox Live
The 360 isnt like other consoles that just need a mod to make it play different regions. The only way around region lock outs is to have a J-tag modded 360, which is no cake walk and requires you finding a 360 that has not been updated in 3 years now. A lot of games that come out are Region Free, but most of the Japan releases are region locked.
Your best bet is to get a console from that region you would like to play games from.
