My five-year-old daughter loves to watch me play games. In the early summer, she watched me play through Adventures of Lolo. She also likes to play through the first few levels on her own.

She has drawn the first few levels. Here is level 2, I believe:

Thats epic! You should surprise her with Lolo 3 so she can play as Lala. I bet she would like that.

that just reminded me -- when I was like 8 or 9 I remember painting a scene from Moon Patrol in art class and I was so proud of it. Damn, I wish I still had that now.

My little daughter, just over a year old at 15 months now, loves Sonic. It's at the point that if she sees a TV, she points at it and says "Seeegaaaa" (like at the start of Sonic1 or 2). She loves watching the attract mode on Sonic 1, saying "Sega" each time the logo appears and doing the Sonic finger wag on the title screen.

It is absolutely adorable.

The first game she had control of was Castle of Illusion on the Genesis. Once she realized that pushing a button on the controller makes the character jump or move, with a sound effect, she was hooked. If she even sees a game controller now, she grabs it and starts pushing buttons while looking at the TV (whether it is on or not). She's basically claimed the GBA as her own with Mario 2 in it. She can actually turn the thing on and get into the game, where she just jumps constantly and marvels at the sound of Mario (or Luigi, Princess or Toad) jumping over, and over, and over, and over. I guess I've trained her well. :D

YES! Well done. I just got Castle of Illusion from mjmjr25 for my daughter, I can't wait to show it to her.

Best Thread Ever!!

Since the Contra co op with my little one, she's moved on to Ducktales Nes and Toy Story Genesis and just the other day she held on to controller 2 while I played some Mouse controlled Elemental Gearbolt.

Gotta love your first born

Seriously tho this thread proves theres some great gamer parents out there!

I remember drawing Moon Patrol when I was that age. It was one of my favourite arcade games!
