I used to think 10 was just decent, but playing it recently made me realize that its really good. Flaws aside, it really has some great elements to it.

Just my opinion of course. Other than that, I agree with your list.

I've only completed 1, and 4-12. 12 gets point for Yiazmat I guess, but I've never cared so little about my characters. Reddas was the coolest character in that game, all the way till the ending.

Well I'm a little too old to be a "cool kid", but Final Fantasy XI, XIII, and XIV are three of the worst games I've ever played. And I'm not some indiscriminate hater, Final Fantasy VI is my favorite game of all time. IV and VII rank pretty high too. Just makes me sad how the series has gone downhill. I feel like the best FF games of the last five years were the spin-offs like Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time and 4 Heroes of Light, which kicks ass.

Well so far I'm enjoying FF13 but everyone is entitled to an opinion positive or negative. I didn't know that people had such strong feelings about a game, it seems a little childish but kinda makes sense when talking about the whole series.

I'm about 9 hours into Lunar: Silver Star Harmony. I like it so far, but the pacing is painfully slow. Especially with the load times, which are absolutely devastating. This is the first time I've played any version of this game, though I also own the Sega CD, PS1, and GBA versions. Maybe I should have started with one of those.

And I wasn't trying to stir any shit up with the FFXIII hate, I was just disappointed by it. Square Enix keeps dumping turds on us, but I keep buying them hoping vainly for another FFVI or Chrono Trigger. :?

I can appreciate some aspects of xiii but overall I think it is the weakest or close to the weakest in the series. The characters and story are pretty bad. The linear nature of running through one tunnel after another got old quick as well.

I am way into Dragon Warrior III (GBC) right now. It is so old-school and so epic (and, accordingly, so awesome). After this, I think I will try to tackle Dragon Warrior I & II. I completed Dragon Warrior IV some years ago, and I would like to have all of the 8-bit Dragon Warrior games under my belt.

Still, surely you've played worse (if not, when you get your hands on a 3DO, you will... ::ominous laughter:: ).

XI has a lot going for it (and against, but meh). Taken as a whole, it's got a deeper plot than the offline games, tons of lore, game mechanics to immerse in, etc. 'course, that should be expected of a game that's been added on to for the better part of a decade.

XIII isn't what it could have been, but it could be a lot worse too. If the plot was better, if the dialogue wasn't so downright grating by the end, I think the mechanics would be easier to overlook. While not everything might be what fans would want, at least the battle team was trying to evolve.

XIV...I won't try to defend  It will be interesting to see the version 2.0 revival next year though. If XI is any indication, XIV will take several years, but it'll eventually be good.

Anyway, point is more that hyperbole there doesn't really serve. There are far worse games. To me, it's like calling the Star Wars prequels the worst movies ever. Disappointing? Maybe. But Manos: The Hands of Fate they are not.

I'd definitely say you should play the GBC versino of I & II. II is BRUTAL on the NES, but man was it satisfying to beat. Of course, you're really beating the RNG, since so much in II comes down to the RNG. I on the NES is just grind happy, but for every area once you reach a certain level you're pretty much guarenteed to be fine for that area.
