Ah, ok, if the DC version is supposed to be better I'll certainly give it a shot. There's no way in hell I'm playing an original xbox.BoringSupreez wrote: Why not use the TR as an opprotunity to play the superior oXbox or DC versions? The N64 version is fun, but certainly inferior.
yeah ok, I've got no excuse, I'll at least need to try this alleged strafe.BoringSupreez wrote: PC, PSN, GBA, SNES, MAC, Jaguar, Cell Phones, 360, and Acorn. I seriously doubt god has nothing to play it on.
PS. Why do people call it an oXbox?, I'm guessing its either because its as solid as an ox, or its an abbreviated form of 'original xbox'

It's short for original xbox. If you just say xbox nowadays, people assume you mean the 360.god wrote:Ah, ok, if the DC version is supposed to be better I'll certainly give it a shot. Totally understandable, considering that more than twice as many people have owned 360's than oXbox's.alienjesus wrote:It's short for original xbox. Do people actually say 'oxbox' in real life or is it just an internet thing? Coz everyone I know means an xbox when they say xbox, and would use "three sixty' for xbox 360....... (granted I don't know all that many people and I live in sunny Brisbane)
Damn, the copy of Golden Axe Warrior I was watching is up to $20.49 with a bit over an hour to go, definately gonna be too rich for me this week.

I say 'original xbox' in real life. Like I said, if I just say xbox, people assume 360.

Re: 2012 Together Retro Calendar
Ok, so I think this is my plan of action:
Jan - Golden Axe Warrior PS3 via Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. I've already unlocked it. If anyone has this game, but hasn't unlocked it, it's so easy. Go into Golden Axe 3 and use magic 10 times. Save your game and exit to the menu and now Golden Axe Warrior is unlocked.
Feb - Soul Calibur 1 picked it up for DC.
Mar - Y's I gonna put Ys I & II Chronicles PSP LE on my Xmas list!
April - Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 the first time I played this game was on DC and it was the game that got me back into gaming after not playing for like 5 years. So I was thinking of picking up the DC version. But then again, that might be kind of silly since I already own it on PS1.
May - Wolfenstein 3D I'll probably get this on PSN. Anybody know how that port is?
June - Command & Conquer Plan to pick up the PS1 version.
July - Treasure Heroes 2 Pack - Guardian Heroes I might have to skip it. I don't own a Saturn or 360 and have no real plans to get either anytime soon. I guess I could play through the GBA semi-sequel, but honestly I didn't think it was all that great.
Gunstar Heroes I'm pretty sure this is on PSN now, so I'll go that route.
August -Bomberman 94 I think this is on PSN under the title Mega Bomberman. So I'll probably grab that one.
Sept - Super Mario Brothers 2/Doki Doki Panic Oh I don't know. I've beaten this game so many times. What I'm actually thinking is that I might just get it on the VC for my wife and play through it with her since she's never actually played this one but she's a SMB fan. That would at least take a very familar game and sort of put a different spin on it for me and stop me from just speed-running through it.
October - Maniac Mansion SCUMMVM, either via PSP or DC.
Crush series I believe Devil's Crush is on PSN?
November - Panel de Pon I don't know. Don't get mad, but I'm not a PDP fan, so as such I'm not sure I'd go and re-buy a copy on GBC or GBA. Maybe I'll buy a VC copy for my wife and see if playing with her makes it any more fun for me. Is there a good co-op version of it available on VC? Also out of curiosity are there any PDP clones available on PSN?
December - Do Don Pachi PSN.

Systems:
DS: Planet Puzzle League, Puzzle League Express (DSiWare)
GameCube: Nintendo Puzzle Collection (Japanese only)
GB: Tetris Attack
GBA: Dr. Mario & Puzzle League
GBC: Pokemon Puzzle Challenge
N64: Pokemon Puzzle League
SNES: Tetris Attack
Super Famicom: Panel de Pon (Japanese only)
Wii: Pokemon Puzzle League (Virtual Console)
Pokemon Puzzle League supports two players. I'm not sure if it does co-op, but I believe it does. I actually have PPL on VC and it plays pretty well; in fact, probably better with the better D-pad of the Classic Controller.
