I love JRPG's. They just take me forever to finish. I assume I don't like WRPG's. I've never played one to my knowledge, but never found one that appeals to me. But yr right, SRPG's are definitely my favorite sub-genre of RPG. I just really like the sort of chess-game style gameplay. I like that I can sort of sit there and move on my own timeframe, and THIS MIGHT SOUND FUNNY, but I tend to enjoy the strategy of battles way more than actually paying attention to any sort of story. I find SRPG's really relaxing games, so I don't want to read a bunch of story or even figure out "ok, what town do I have to go to next." I just really like the battles.Xeogred wrote: @noise: I still find it a little funny how you don't seem too big on JRPG/WRPG's (Chrono Trigger took you forever haha) but you really love these SRPG's. If you haven't dude I bet you'd love the first two Arc the Lad games. They connect as one huge game, so you'll have like 30-40 characters in Arc 2, that game you can actually walk around in towns and area's so it's more engaging in that way, and the whole game is just a blast. I think you'd really dig it. It's a bit faster paced than FFT/TO as well so that's nice.
As far as Arc The Lad, I've always wanted to try them -- at least the PS1 games. I intend to at some pont.
