Is it worth getting a 360 if you dont have a HDTV?

Having to put up with your accents would drive me insane.

Plus I would get people saying "Your from scotland, thats in england right?" and that would just push me over the edge.

I think it is the same in the UK and the rest of Europe. It's strange yet pretty cool the first time I went there. You know how much you pay for and there is no need for calculating the tax. However, everything in Europe is damn expensive, specifically UK and France!!!

Yeah a lot of places in Europe taxes are included in the price however they usually bend you over before making you pay.

If you've seen the pricing that 'devilmyarse' lists, a lot of stuff in the UK is double what we pay in the US and even Japan for some stuff. The US really gets it the best for pricing in the gaming world.

mostly everything works fine. just don't buy the game Dead Rising. the words are designed only for HD and so small on my 27" standard tv i can't ever read the missions to know what the fuck i'm supposed to be doing.

Thats a problem in alot of 360 games unfortunately, even IN HD they are tiny, same with DiRT, Mass Effect, and a couple others.

ive had one before an hdtv and after...the difference where it matters is HUGE...you will NOT be able to read ANY font for missions on 99.9% of games that setup missions thru text.

picture quality...sure its a difference but its not like night and day. With the ps3...to me, the difference WAS night to day, 360...all around fun as long as you dont need to read text.

Not true. I play everyone of my games fine including Dirt AND Mass Effect without any problems on a 27" widescreen CRT. The only ones i've had trouble with are Dead Rising and Amped 3.

I have about 25 games for the 360 btw.
