Yucky.
Perfectly normal...

Anyone else remember the dr drew boogie? It was just a ton of shit he said mashed together like "I was bored so I put a spear through my penis" and "Perfectly normal"

Your sentence is as obvious as saying "grass is green". Of course you turned out the way you did due to your environment (good or bad). 8)

These are clearly extreme examples in which no child should ever be punished. You punish to encourage a specific behaviour. "Spilling flour" is not something you can avoid, unless of course you spilled the flour because you were doing something else you weren't supposed to.

Young children are not capable of such things. They are not just "little adults". Unless you are allowing your child to be raised by wolves until they are a teenager, you have to do something other than try to reason with them. Often, a child will misbehave without even knowing why they did so. It requires a fully developed consciousness to have motive.

I'll check after work hours. Any loveline conversation is probably nsfw.

I think Zig-Zag may have a point that's worth hearing, but he can't express it properly. This post just reads as "Spilling AP Flour is no biggie, but spilling my AP flour while spilling my dry yeast is an ass beating!". That just doesn't make sense man.

And in any case, no child should be abused. Period, even if they spill flour and yeast on the floor. Kids are kids. Kids will make mistakes. Kids (as many adults) do dumb stuff.

If I ever get to the point to where I think my child deserves punishment beyond the normal "talk to", I will take it as my fault and will take accountability for bad parenting (in the judge's case, he takes none), and I'm dead serious when I say I will call the police on my first born son before beating the snot out of him.

My parents threatened me with Military School all the time, which I actually welcomed, but they did something much, much worse. During Summers, they made me attend Math Camp.

I was playing with stuffed animals in an office room of the house. For some reason there was a large container of flour in that room. I took off the lid and was playing with the stuffed animals directly on top of the flour. That caused some of the flour to spill over onto the floor. I didn't even know what flour was. To me it was just some cool thing I found.

Just watched the clip. Very recognizable. This girl got beaten not for what she did wrong, but to satisfy either her father's sadistic pleasure or to vent his personal frustrations. He should not be let near children ever again. Stupid irresponsible prick...
