Yeah but I don't have a phone line in the bedroom and we only got DSL.

oh oh oh. Yeah. Eventually I'll get a model A modem and try to figure out that PC-DC method. But it really does look involved.Anthony817 wrote:Yeah but I don't have a phone line in the bedroom and we only got DSL.

Re: Free dial-up ISP's for Dreamcast?
I have looked into doing it on 3 occasions, and each method was different. I just looked at that googleplex of text and said I will be forever alone on my Dreamcast haha.
I am a pretty big multiplayer gamer, love the competitive nature of it. I got my 360 and Battlefield 3 to keep me busy for a long time. When I get into a MP game, I play it for years and years.

actually, does anyone know how to confirm which modem model (A or B) you have? I am thinking mine is B, but I'm not quite positive.

Take your modem off and look at the caution sticker. On the bottom right of it, it will have some numbers.
Mine says 670-14140B.

Nice! Let me know how you get along man. It is pretty encouraging to see somebody else get it working.

Hey noise, I have a model A too.
Lemme know if you get things figured out, or send me some links or something.
Thanks guy.

yup yup. There's a couple of tutorials out there, but one of them i found looks fairly straight-forward. I'm gonna give it a go sometime in the next week when I find some time.Nintendork666 wrote:Hey noise, I have a model A too.

Browsing the web on a Dreamcast is a lot of fun, in a "because I can" mentality. Sure, most websites don't work very well with it anymore, but there's nothing like visiting an old site on the DC browser. It's like looking into a digital time capsule.noiseredux wrote:yup yup.
