let me word it this way -- imagine I will only buy ONE baseball game, ONE basketball game, etc for Dreamcast. Convince me why I should buy one of each?

Ok ok!

ECW Anarchy Rulz: Personally wanna play this on my self as it's supposedly a major Improvement over HR, but the game is a lil expensive within my area :/ so if u get it, you can tell me if its worth getting ;D

Matt Hoffman: BMX meets the Stellar tony hawk engine for one awesome BMX game!

NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, Tennis "2K2": the final entry in every category is worth getting. They are cheap, look absoloutely amazing (especial in VGA) and play very well to this day.

NBA Hoops and Showtime: If you loved the Jam series then these spiritual sequels won't dissapoint. Simple pick up and play arcade Fun!

NFL Blitz 00/01: great multiplayer sports Fun and the most accurate arcade Conversion... Yes Please!

Ready 2 Rumble Series: Go for Round 2. More modes, improved gameplay and visual and an expanded roster with the likes MJ, Bill and Hilary Clinton and Shaq (you can beat the crap out of him for doin shaq fu!)

Tony Hawk Series: arguably the 2 best entries in the series with perhaps the best homeports available.

Virtua Striker 2: love arcade style soccer. Goodtimes!

Well hope that helps a bit :)

 will check these out! Thanks!

yup! THPS2 is the first DC game I ever played. In fact it was the ONLY DC game I had ever played until about 2 months ago! And it's still my favorite in the series. I'm definitely a fan of the Pro Skater series as a whole.

ESPN NBA2Nite = one of the worst games ever made. Avoid.

I messed up the Blitz years, I guess it is 2000 and 2001, which makes sense.

I forgot one title that I hunted down recently - Sports Jam , a SEGA Naomi arcade port, mostly popular in Japan. Was a later US relese, and was just button mashing minigames. Pretty unique and I used the Agetec stick, just not very good.

I picked up a new NBA Showtime at Too Many games last year for $7 - LOL. Still in original shrink wrap (I play my other copy).

In my family of NBA Jam games (I have a pic in the Game Room thread), NBA Hoopz for the DC is one I do not have. I have it for the PS2. The DC version is kind of pricy IIRC and was hard to find a complete copy of.

Great! Glad I could help :) yeah! I didn't care much about Tony Hawk until the first entry made its way to the DC! Mybest friend would play it all day! And it looked so much visually polished over the competitions version. If you enjoy TH then give Matt Hoffman BMX a shot. It's like playing TH2 but with a bike LOL!

NBA Jam and Showtime were must haves for me! Played the heck outta them at the arcade! Hoops is the sequel to showtime so its more polished, so check that one out first, unless you gotta have both LOL!

NBA Showtime NBA on NBC - Playstation
