Re: Games purchased: 2011
I'm glad my thread has been such a success. I haven't been able to update my purchases since I have acquired somewhere between 200-300 titles, mostly due to two large bulk purchases. The biggest one involved was when this guy sold me his entire video game collection (minus current gen stuff).

Geez, how much did that set you back?saturnfan wrote:The biggest one involved was when this guy sold me his entire video collection

I got all his stuff for $500. I got a few boxed systems, a few non boxed systems, 100+ ps2 games, a few of them unopened. Mint CIB SNES and N64 games, about 25 NES games (no doubles with my current collection!), a few uncommon titles on PS1, SNES and Sega CD. Controllers, memory cards, and boxed accessories.MrHealthy wrote:Geez, how much did that set you back?saturnfan wrote:The biggest one involved was when this guy sold me his entire video game collection
All in all, I got 9 systems and roughly 170 games, plus accessories. I think it was a decent deal. I'm probably going to make a sale thread soon to get rid of the stuff I don't really want or need.

I dont have a number or a list I just have a total... 5 GRAND!!,from january till now,I had alil money coming in and treated myself.
Some of my cherished purchases were:
Pcengine Duo r
beyond shadowgate (which I used games I purchased to trade for)
Whole Working Designs collection minus Exile 2 (which Im rebuilding atm)
Sega CDX
Completion of most admired series-Suikoden,FF,Wild Arms,RE,Silent hills etc
And 90% of racketboys Rare and most value list.
really dont wanna brag which is why I havent posted here already,so having been there done that.Theres a bunch of ways to obtain these games without hitting the lotto or whatever.
Heres some tips...
Cut your cable bill (internet only) youll be to busy playing games and watching netflicks anyways.
Stop smoking!!-all those packs of ciggs can add up to pretty rare games rather quickly.
Drugs and alcohol-buy games instead youll have something to show for it.
Limit buying new releases-would you rather spend $60 a game or have
Alundra,Mega Man Anniversary,Wavebird and probably Mega Bomberman to round it out?
So there you have it folks I bought went broke,Sold had nothing, prioritized and rebuilded and appreciated! Enjoy

Re: Games purchased: 2011

I fell for the hype and snagged these two from Ebay after fruitlessly trying to get them directly from various forums over the past month or so. Total for both was around $140 shipped. Tron Bonne prices are ridiculous. Even if you try to save money by going disc-only or without the MML2 demo disc, you only save about $20.
Selling half my NES/SNES/PS1 collection (ending Dec 1):

I have MML... what's that going for these days? I don't even have a guess.Zing wrote:

I never had any lucky finding Tron Bonne myself. I'm way too anal about my games being complete, and as you pointed out -- it ain't cheap!
