And the winner is...

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Then you should know what the current market holds and were you stand. To think that you can sue it as some sort of a savings is a real joke. If you want to do that, then sell your collection and invest the money in a IRA.loganm187 wrote:I have been collecting and selling rare games for years and it has become somewhat of a steady income and a hobby I love.

well 2 sides to a coin. I have a few games on the Wii VC download...even so...we still recently went out and got a n64 to actually OWN the games. I still like OWNING REAL games, not virtual or cdrs, on that note i dont think your REALLY gonna lose anything you would just be selling much slower.
If you do try to sell bulk items....in your case anyway....for a living...its corrent the US 1$ is worth...crap. If your really trying to make money id take payment in a dif method.

I don't think I'll ever understand how people actually care about the monetary value of their games.
It just doesn't even matter to me. I have no intention of ever selling my copy of Radiant Silvergun, or any other rare game I have. I measure their value in the joy that owning these games and playing them gives me.
It's all about the feeling I get. I guess I just don't have kind of mindset where I could ever care about the "worth" of my games. I honestly don't care if Radiant Silvergun starts going on ebay for 15 bucks, I still don't regret what I paid for it. It wasn't an investment. That's not why I bought it.
Now, this is coming from someone who understands why some people like having sealed games, but again I understand the joy of just having a classic game in pristine condition, but I don't understand people just buying them as an investment

Sometimes things the like Virtual Console may actually help the price rise because it will spark interest in a game some people might not have known about, thus prompting some individuals to go and buy the original instead. Just like when a sequel to game comes out, people want to go re-explore the originals. I find some good deals, but based on your initial post have probably not been as lucky as you, but if you think in relative terms that say you buy a game for $4 that could sell for $100 on ebay. If it sells for $100, awesome, if the price in that game goes down and you sell it for $60, you still made $56 dollars.
