Maybe so, but to say the the SNES Super G&G was an "abomination"? I STRONGLY disagree with that.Bradtemple87 wrote:Sorry JT, but both these versions reviewed trumped it. I loved the faster game speed.

Compared to the Genesis version, Super G&G feels like an abomination. I still love it, it's still in my top favorite, but the Genesis version has serious rank. They're almost two different games.Breetai wrote:Maybe so, but to say the the SNES Super G&G was an "abomination"? I honestly don't remember the SGX version looking worse in later levels. I wasn't trying to compare, though. Also, oddly, the SGX version is the only version I legally own currently...

Re: Ghouls N Ghosts Review/Comparo (Genesis & SuperGrafx)
Thanks you all for your input. I did enjoy Super Ghouls N Ghosts but the big turn off for me in that game (other than the major slow-down) was they took away directional attacks.
It all starts with the 2nd half of stage 4. The slippery snow descent (right before the maggot). It could pass for Ghosts n Goblins on NES. Also, the final castle stage looks much much better on the Sega hardware. The stained glass looks like flamingo excrement.

Haha. When I get the patience, I'll have to play through it again.hashiriya1 wrote:Thanks you all for your input. I did enjoy Super Ghouls N Ghosts but the big turn off for me in that game (other than the major slow-down) was they took away directional attacks.
