yeah I thought it was ace too - though a bit too aggressive in it's self righteous 'science over religion' bits (and trust me I'm not religious, but it just seemed a bit arrogant to me).

I loved all the nerd references though, cheap, but I loved em :p

Will do, but since it is in the Criterion Collection, I'm going to make an assumption and that it's probably going to be pretty great, or at least interesting.

I've watched a few movies strictly because they're in the CC, and my favorite so far was Ikiru by Kurosawa. Very moving stuff.

Those are examples of some shitty films on the Criterion collection. There's isn't a single production or distribution company that haves a perfectly good collection

The big problem is that Pasolini was an intellectual and he made Salo as a very metaphoric film about fascism and politics. It isn't, the shit eating scene is apparently symbolizing mass produced foods, yeah... it's bullshit (Pun intended).

Antichrist suffers from almost the exact same problem plus it adds the typical layer of pretentiousness and "hipster-ness" that Von Trier loves to add. Also, it's not scary, disturbing or even sad, it's fucking retarded, I nearly laughed my ass off with the fox and masturbation scene.

Antichrist is a horrible piece of shit. Honestly one of the worst movies I've ever sat through. I'm fairly certain Von Trier is a total moron.
