Yeah, I enjoyed that one too. It always amazes me when people say there were never any good Batman games before Arkham Asylum. Kids these days

Seriously, no denying the Arkham games are probably the best, but yeah there was plenty of good ones back in the day.

I can't believe I used to beat the NES games as a kid, haha. So brutal.

Man, I really dislike the controls for the blade dodge move, very unintuitive. Fortunately, there are other ways of dealing with blade using enemies so I'm pretty much just playing the game as if blade dodge didn't exist

I've had two boss fights so far and they definitely are more dynamic than the first game, so that's pretty cool. I like the work they've put into that particular issue from the first game. The first boss fight was a character I didn't even expect to see in the game and the second boss fight was against a villain so awesome I think I got giddy :D

We mentioned Catwoman being hot stuff before, but I've just encountered another well known female from the Bat universe in the game's story that puts Catwoman to shame

The Nightwing DLC should be fun based on what I've seen in this trailer:

Yeah, there really were some good Batman games before this so I don't know why all the hate either? :? I mean, yeah there were some bad ones too but I pretty much enjoyed most of them.

I'm still in the early stages of Arkham City since I've been insanely busy lately so I haven't really seen any bosses yet. Other than that brief encounter w/ Penguin early on as Bruce Wayne. I wonder if Batgirl is going to make an appearance? Seems like they haven't left anyone out from what I've been reading so far on this game but I didn't see mention of her yet?
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

My favorite pre-Arkham Asylum Batman games were Batman (Sunsoft) on NES and Genesis, and Adventures of Batman & Robin on the Genesis and SNES.

I can't stand Batman Returns on SNES, it's just an 8-bit beat-em up with nicer looking graphics. Three enemies at once and extremely limited moves is what does me in on this one. Batman Returns on Sega CD is one of my most played Sega CD games, but I can see why people hate the platforming levels, they are clunky at best.

I'm still trying to play Arkham City more with nothing but map locations to compel me. I am literally allowing this to compete with my first time at Morrowind. This might limit how much more I will be playing Arkham City while it is still new. I might also trade it back and pick it up on PC to see the Direct X 11 improvements I enjoy with Arkham Asylum.

No Batgirl in the main storyline, but I haven't finished all the side missions though. I'm sure you've noticed by now that Barbara Gordon is Oracle in this game's continuity, but it would be cool to see one of the other Batgirls

So I finished the game and I was actually a little sad when I got to the end. I wanted more! So now I'm doing the side missions and grabbing Riddler trophies. It is absolutey insane how many of those damn things are in the game. To the game's credit though, practically every single one you find unlocks some kind of bonus content, so that's cool. What's kind of annoying me is that I'm trying to find certain people to continue certain side quests and can't find them.

Awesome game though! Honestly, the only thing keeping this from being a perfect Batman game is that I don't get to use any of the Bat vehicles

The boss fights are epic in this game and the whole storyline feels like it could have made for a pretty cool animated movie. A few characters seem shoe horned into the story line though and the Catwoman stuff that people have made such a big deal about actually feels tacked on. She has almost nothing to do with the game's story. She is fun to play as though, but you eventually just want to be Batman again. The game does have a fair amount of fan service, not that I mind

Jesus Christ! Nightwing is a beast!

I was just doing a combat challenge where the high score is 42000 and I've hit 68000 without even getting to the final round! I'm pretty sure I've got negative combat modifiers in place too, including one that supposedly makes the enemies tougher. These are extreme mode combat challenges too! He's very fast and very, "flippy". He's more fun to use than Catwoman. He can snipe enemies in stealth mode too for instant knockouts :D

On the negative side, Nightwing never speaks :(

Odd, given that the bad guys all have dialog for him. Why would you put in new dialog for everyone else, but not Nightwing himself?
