btw do you have a regular 8hour day job? shit I fall asleep with everything video games, reading books, watching tv, movies and I tend to sleep only 6-7 hours cause I'm always thinking I don't have enough time and fighting my body wanting to sleep. I think getting you're mind and body tired is the key, that's why everybody talks about exercise and since you have years not sleeping at night it will take years to be able to reverse that.

I think I know what your problem is. You are stressed out and worried about finding a job or some other ways for subsistence. My advice is, do your part and know that you have tried your best. Everything else is beyond your control. I know life is tough, no doubt about it. There are good times and there are bad times. Today may not be a good day, but cheer up. Tomorrow is another day and it will be better. Good luck at finding a job Moz.Mozgus wrote:Not lately. Can't find work no matter what I do it seems. Honestly...i prefer the night, my first job was 11pm to 8am...would stay up playing battlefield on my laptop through their connection...was very nice, until i got robbed one night and the popo tried to say i set it up. Actually said i tried to quote..."Rob myself"
BUT...to help that, find an RPG you REALLY like...for me it was diablo 2 in the day, i set up and played for 3 days STRAIGHT, at midnight on that 3rd night i blacked out and slept, woke up the next morning...been on track ever sense
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

I'm not stressed. People with jobs, and classes, and kids get stressed. I've been out of work since January, aside from one week long assignment, and a couple part time weeks at UPS, which was the worst job I've ever had in my life.peace4myheart wrote:I think I know what your problem is. I don't know...sometimes there are serious sleep disorders that no matter what you try you have problems sleeping. I know you'd like to avoid medication, so this is what I'd suggest. Do some good old fashion exersize. Go ride a bike, take a jog, go swimming around 5 or so. Allow yourself some time to cool down. Eat a small meal about 7 or 8. let it digest and drink plenty of water. Game or surf the net or do what ever till 10 or 11. Then you must go to bed. Bring a book and read till your eyes tire themsleves out. That usually helps me get on track. Also make sure to set an alarm and wake up arouind 8 or 9. Don't allow yourself to over-sleep because that throws you off balance. Avoid caffine, smoking(don't know if you do or not) and alcohol. Try to eat light well balanced meals....i know you're a carnivore, but try to cut down on meat (try chicken, lamb or fish instead of beef) and up you fiber, iron and b-12 intake. If you can't get it from a well balanced diet you may need some supplements.
Lack of sleep can really mess you up and throw your body off balance and there is no quick fix. It's usually a lifestyle change that is need to really put you on track. It's a pain in the ass, but unless you work on your whole body cycle you may have trouble for a while to come. What you really want to focus on is diet, exersize, and keeping a schedule. I try and often fail and I'll have a few weeks of terrible sleep or next to no sleep, but when i stay on track i sleep like a baby.
also....passing out after a night of drinking quality ale or stout really puts me nto a quality slumber.

If you want to try a med, go for melitonen...its all nat. and you wont feel like crap the next morning. I know with alot of pm meds you wake up wanting to just pass back out. melitonen is something your body makes on its own to help you sleep...take 1 or 2 and sleep it up, wake up feeling great.

Anxiety also factors into stress. Perhaps the job hunt's getting you down. Excuse me if I'm sounding a little presumptuous, but i think you just need to find something that's troubling you and expel it by whatever means possible. Friend of mine had no sleep for weeks because of stress he wouldn't let out. Believe me, a lot more than jobs, classes, kids, and women can cause a man stress.Mozgus wrote: I'm not stressed.
