Saturn Castlevania SOTN, what region is the best version?

The ONLY Castlevania game I have played was Order of Ecclesia, but it was fantastic. Definitely worth playing imo.

I was just playing SotN and noticed that when I double tap a direction, Alucard runs faster, similar to Richter. Does he always do this!? I never noticed this before in my life. I was playing the Saturn version.

Seriously though, I figured that out when I first played it, pretty kool for doing combos and killing the zombies.
