Smile: There's this guy I play in Warhammer 40K almost weekly. He has beaten me seven times in a row. The last two games were draws. Today I finally beat him. Barely.
Frown: Finally got the defective mother board out of my new computer. Back on the old rig for time being.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

That's the best sort of player to play against. You'll learn more strategy lessons being thoroughly beaten than you will trashing weaklings.Flake wrote:Smile: There's this guy I play in Warhammer 40K almost weekly. There were very many lessons to learn. His beatings drove me back to the rule book and codex almost nightly, trying to figure out how to squeeze the most value out of my army. He's definitely better than me still but I gained a lot of confidence today.BoringSupreez wrote:That's the best sort of player to play against. Big smile: Just finished the Dreamcast vs link cable schematic!...
Still need to double check everything, but that's going to be for another day. After that I need to find the right ICs, make a printboard version schematic and finally try making one for real. Hopefully I did everything right...

Did the doctors give you any answers, or has your sister always suffered from seizures? Either way, best of luck and keep thinking "things can only get better".
Smile: Was able to make an estimated 5 hour road trip in 4 hours without speeding like a maniac. Traffic was moving at a good pace and no jams whatsoever. I guess that happens when you're driving at 5am on a Sunday morning.
Ticked/But not really: So great to see family, but I spent more time driving than visiting. It's been a few rough weeks, and I'm pretty sure I'm in for another few weeks that won't be easy. My Grandmother can't seem to keep water out of her lungs, and my parents family pet doberman is literally turning into one big tumor. This is life, and they have both had long and happy lives, but for my parents I just hope there is some time between their collective passing. You can prepare all you want, but when a loved one dies, preparation goes out the window.

That's scary. I've only seen one seizure in person* and it wasn't pleasant. Hope you get some clearer answers soon.BoringSupreez wrote:She's never had one before, and all the doctors found is that she has influenza B.Luke wrote:Did the doctors give you any answers, or has your sister always suffered from seizures? *A few friends and I went to DC about 6 years ago, and right in the front of the Lincoln monument a guy riding a bike froze, dropped, and starting convulsing. You would think with security measures the way they are someone would have come to his aid, but even with us shouting out for help, no one came to aid. We called 911, but before anyone showed up the guy just kind of snapped out of it.

Nah, there wasn't anything specific that stood out a whole lot. Though there were a couple of people who were taking beer pong waaay too seriously. Its beer pong, the object is to drink. If you're playing it for any other reason, you're doing it wrong.brunoafh wrote:Awesome, a good party in your honor always does good. Good to hear you had a good time. It was a great time overall though, and you're right, it definitely felt good.
