Xbox Problems
so I recently got my first xbox, immediately soft modded it, a few days later I put in a 160 gig drive, not all of it is usable though, anyway, I started to have some trouble the other night when I went to boot KOTOR 2 and it froze on the startup menu, I resolved that by re ripping it and such, then today my copy of Counter Strike came, I put it in and it doesn't even load at all, just sits on a black screen, I dunno what to do, I know the disk is good cause I put it in my Bro's 360 and it booted fine, is their someway for me to test the drive, or do you have any other suggestions?

Just throw the dvd drive away if it's bust, replace with another 160GB hard drive and then install an ide switcher. You won't need the disk drive now. You can copy games to your xbox over lan.
The only thing is you'd have to download copies of all your games because you can't rip them...
You could try ripping as many games as possible on your duff dvd drive. Then the rest you could just download.
