Unless you live out in the country, couldn't you drop some cash on a taxi ride?AppleQueso wrote:Ticked: It's been nearly a month and a half since I've taken and failed my road test, and I have yet to get the opportunity to go retake it. It's extremely frustrating, not to mention pretty embarrassing, to be the only person I know my age who can't legally drive.

Fuck
This really, really sucks. You may know Patrice from spots on VH1 shows, and cameos in sitcoms such as The Office.
The man is funny. Very funny, very kind, and has never tried to hog the spotlight nor have I ever seen him not put in a good word for upcoming comedians who were trying to get into the business (even if Patrice never heard the material). He's a great guy, and I hope we don't lose him so soon.
Please keep Patrice in your thoughts or prayers (or both), and hopefully he can make it out of this unfortunate circumstance.

I would suspect he needs a car to drive for the test.BoringSupreez wrote:Unless you live out in the country, couldn't you drop some cash on a taxi ride?AppleQueso wrote:Ticked: It's been nearly a month and a half since I've taken and failed my road test, and I have yet to get the opportunity to go retake it. People need to get over this shit and get a sense of humor. My Hispanic buddies always play up their ethnicity, as do my Korean friends, and every over friend during Halloween. And prepare for a lot of golden gun toting gadaffis on Monday.

I mostly agree. I do think the blackface and suicide bomber ones are very close/over the line, but some are fine. How does dressing as a Geisha insult Japanese people unless it is accompanied by acting like a complete fool to mock them? Granted I don't fit a 'redneck' stereotype, but if someone puts on a fake mullet for Halloween I don't get offended as an American. Do people dressed in medieval armor offend the British? Are all mime costumes offensive to the French?Luke wrote:Heh:

Medieval knight is the first British stereotype you though of? I'm kind of flattered. Normally it's either a Charles Dickens style chimney sweep or a toff in a monocle and top hat.Hobie-wan wrote:I mostly agree.
