I really did not like the PS2, I have gone through about fourteen of them now. The first three were bought and sold at a profit, but the other eleven were bought or given to me and broke fairly quickly. After having to return the third broken new PS2 in a row to the shop I bought an Xbox instead. I was gifted several that broke quickly, so that is kinda of a misnomer. But after buying three brand new PS2s that broke within a week or two, I gave up.
I know I would like some of the games on the console, I just had a terrible run with the consoles. It became a running gag with some of my friends.
And before you get on me about how I am either lying or didnt take care of them - Ack was there for several of the PS2s that died and none of my other consoles died, even when they were plugged into the same surge protector. I plugged several into the same plug as my Gamecube and they died, where as that Gamecube is still going strong.
