I traded in my mint condition, CIB version of the following PC game for £2 (= around 3 or 4 US dollars at the time) to Gamestation:

It's so rare, I can't even find a decent bloody picture of it

Know what you mean. When I had a 360, that was all I ever used Live for.

I can't for the life of me remember exactly WHY I thought it was a good idea to do that.
Because electricity is COOL, that's why.

I've heard of people using the round Xbox logo on the top of the oXbox as a can holder, with bad results.

Aside from lending any games I liked to friends, which always resulted in my game coming back in worse condition, or trading/selling games and consoles I liked I only regret one thing. I decided to get back into Turbo/PCE gaming by purchasing a Japanese DUO.

I played it for a week with legitimate games to make sure it worked and then tried a CDR of DracX. The CD drive died the instant it loaded the disk. So, I paid close to $50 to ship the console back to Japan for a replacement. Upon receiving the new DUO I again played only legitimate games on it for a week to test it. Burning a new DracX CDR, I decided to press my luck again. To my surprise this DUO also died instantly. So, I contacted a friendly US modder and traded it, after extensive testing, for a region modified DUO/R.

My DUO/R is effectively my most expensive system at $450 total cost.

WOW. I have never heard of that happening to that extent. I've played burnt disks on a Duo without issue, although I have heard that it really is not recommended. Still, WOW.

I missed opportunities at sealed copies of games like the first Suikoden or Tales of Destiny II for around $10 each in the Toys R Us or Costco clearance bins :x

1. When I bought the Power Base Converter for the 16-bit Sega Genesis Video Entertainment System, I traded in my real Master System with a few of its games for spending money since I was just a teenager and therefore a dumbass. I eventually got another unit, but I really wish I had my original unit that I started my foray into videogaming with. I still have the original 16-bit Sega Genesis Video Entertainment System, fortunately.

2. I bought a 3DO, brand new upon launch at full retail price ($700). One of the biggest disappointments of my life.

I lost a psp moded with a nice chrome case and hacked with cfw. I have no idea where that went! It was in my home, I wonder if a kid took it home???? or if I lost it while traveling?

I have a habit of giving my old games to my little cousins, I don't feel bad for that, but man do I wish I had kept some of the games.

I also bought a 3DS :(

I bought a launch xbox 360, sold it, then bought it again later

I threw away my ps2 cases

I asked my cousin to open my nes and clean it. It didn't work after that.

I got a red ring of death on my new xbox 360, I freaked out, but then I realized I just needed to push the hdmi chord in more (after ordering box to ship it in for a replacement box from Microsoft). I got a free box out of it though!
