There's that Aerosmith light gun game, Revolution X, where you kill enemies with the power of rock.

Also Mog's dances in Final Fantasy VI, and in Lunar 2 Jean can attack using a collection of dances.

Gitaroo Man definitely counts. But the other three I'm not sure about. From what I can tell of the Youtube video's I've watched you don't actually fight anyone using music or anything in Parappa, UmJammer, or Unison. Correct me if i'm wrong though, because I haven't actually played any of em.

Unfortunately that one doesn't count. Only because it's a single boss battle. I'm only gonna count the ones that have it as a regular thing, sorry.

Is that Brave Fencer Musashi fight only that one boss battle? Or is it a regular thing in the game?

And thanks for reminding me about the Mog dances.

EDIT: Update! The list is now alphabetized.

Mother 3 involves tapping the button in rhythm to the music in order to do more damage in battles.

Bust-a-Groove 1 and 2.

Your goal is to fight enemies with dance, and you can even taunt them or make em lose timing with special attacks.

Really awesome games too.

Once again, do you actually use the music and stuff to fight? Because from what I've heard of the game (And seen in gameplay videos) you go around fixing peoples problems for them I thought (Like helping to deliver a baby is one example I've heard of).

I've played all 3 Ouendan/Elite Beat Agent games and from my memory, I can only think of one time when you actually use the power of dance to do direct combat against evil aliens. It was the final song in Elite Beat Agents.

Found a video of it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OetQPbLQvss

You control the dancing of the cheerleaders by tapping the circles on the screen. The dancing of the cheerleaders is what helps the people of the world dance together, and that creates a large energy beam which shoots out and destroys the evil aliens.

Up to you if you want to count this or not. It's somewhat similar to a bard character in an RPG, who performs a song in order to buff an attacking character.
