you were close, but not a secretary:
wikipedia wrote:A Code monkey is a computer programmer or other person who writes computer code for a living. This term may be slightly derogatory, meaning that this developer can write some code but is unable to (or not supposed to) perform the more complex tasks of software architecture, analysis, and design.[1] It is usually applied to junior programmers.

Ticked: It's been nearly a month and a half since I've taken and failed my road test, and I have yet to get the opportunity to go retake it. The person who took me the first time keeps making excuses, and I can't seem to get anybody else to take me. Shit I haven't even so much as had the chance to even drive since I took that test.

It's extremely frustrating, not to mention pretty embarrassing, to be the only person I know my age who can't legally drive.

What've you got against Wikileaks?
mjmjr25 wrote:Well, they divulge names, policies, and other sensitive information that are harmful to our soldiers at a minimum and our entire country in some instances. The intelligent "freedom of the press / free speech" crowd understands some things are meant to actually be "classified" for the greater good. Then the whackos ride the coat tails of heroes who fought for and established those rights, and take it at face value and literally don't comprehend the harm they are causing.
That's pretty much it. Just as you couldn't give out your own SSN, bank account, address, mothers maiden name, etc. and still hope to function in life, so too do the governments need to be able to keep some things confidential as prescribed by the law in order to serve their purpose.

I am okay with watchdog groups but Wikileaks was a fucking liability. In the end, they became exactly what they claimed to deplore: An irresponsible and self-aggrandizing information broker and international thug - holding the nations of the world hostage, convincing military personnel to betray the oath they took to their country, and allowing un-vetted 3rd party organizations access to their documents without placing the necessary safety measures to prevent names of sensitive or vulnerable sources from being released to governments that might seek reprisal.

Smile: Today was a good day. Got a lot of work done, allergies weren't bothering me, weather is nice. Hard to frown when there's nothing to bother you.

Frown: See above.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Ticked:
Last Thursday I got a call from my bank's fraud protection that some asshole in California was making charges to my ATM check card. They stopped it after the first one and I started a dispute on that Saturday. Today my actual CC fraud department called and some other asshole in California was making charges to that card. They stopped after the first one and I'm disputing that one too. Obviously I've been sitting here and have not been in California.

I haven't lost my wallet, I don't really do a lot of online shopping, and I'm very careful with my information. I haven't dealt with any company that was a little shady that I can remember. I have no fucking clue how this has happened. :x Thankfully the 2 amounts I'm disputing are manageable and it looks like I'll probably not be on the hook for them anyway.

happened to me a few months ago, but my bank caught it and froze it right away so no charges went through.

Um, what? Where did I ever say or even imply that someone who makes less, or more, money than I do is either an ass or imbecile? I'll do you one better: where did I even bring up money?

The answer is no where. So take your bullshit to the flag pole. That, and I do expect a trophy. Not some on-line jpeg or photoshopped trophy, I want a genuine First Class Prick trophy sent to my house with your explanation of why I won it.

Okay. And the money part is where? Again, no where. No where do I talk about rank or pay. My statement was based on the fact that in my experience, people who run customer service lines are the people who are least interested in their occupation.

btw: I worked customer service lines throughout college.

Smile: I dreamt in Japanese last night! It was just a couple of words, but still!

And better yet I don't have as many classes this week because of midterms...

Frown: I have to take an oral exam for Japanese. I basically have to speak with someone in it for 7 minutes but still...I'm kinda nervous.
