Dumbest things you've ever done? (video game related)

I signed up for this thing called xbox live. Netflix shitathons aside, it's useless.

one of the key points that's kept me away from 360. I have a Wii and a PS3 (or two)... I just can't see paying for the online feature.

I'd be up for a RB Netflix shitathon. It could be fun to review The Wizard, or a movie that has been a topic of interest on the forum.

i picked a snes over a sega saturn....when i was like 10.

I picked a Master System II over Nes and Mega Drive when i was about 7 still today i wonder what made me pick a console i knew nothing about.

Even worse i picked the 7cd fmw disaster that is the X-Files game for pc instead of the pc version of Final Fantasy 7

But then again since this was the pc version of ff7 maybe neither would have been the right decision.

One time i tried like 10 times to turn on one of my console (n64 i guess) i for a moment i thoug the ac adaptor stop working... i checked and what a surprise the think wans't even plug in... 10 minutes of gaming wasted.

Stuck aluminum foil between the prongs on an SNES AC brick. Caused a huge bright spark, tripped the breakers in my house, erased my Chrono Trigger saves (but didn't kill the battery).

I can't for the life of me remember exactly WHY I thought it was a good idea to do that.

As a kid and teenager every console and game I had was either lost or tossed by the time I was 18.

same here. including a sega cdx and jaguar about 15 yrs ago.
