Re: Would you relocate for a job?
I'm already going to school out of state, so moving away further to find a job wouldn't bother me.

Currently I wouldn't. I love Colorado to death too. I love this state, and I love Denver.
Honestly though, do what's best for you. It sounds like you wouldn't want to go, and as much as it may hurt to say goodbye to a good friend, sometimes life just works that way.

Older. Not wiser.

If I decide to enter into a PhD program for history, I will have to relocate just to go to school. Could be semi-close like Philly, or way down south or even out west. Where ever I get the best deal I suppose.
From there, who knows? But to directly answer the question, I think I would be willing to relocate for a job.

Re: Would you relocate for a job?
If I could find a job that would pay me enough (just enough to pay rent/living + loan payments) then I would certainly relocate. It's really troublesome that all my job offers since college have been non-negotiable min wage jobs or barely above that or lo/no deferred.

Yes I'd relocate for a job. No, I would not relocate to Texas. Well... MAYBE Austin Texas. But it would have to be a damn good job. Even being surrounded by Nebraskans is better than being surrounded by Texans.

My family traveled all over the country when I was younger and the only place where absolutely everyone was extremely rude and a jerk was New Mexico for some reason. I guess that would be the one place in the U.S. I would have reservations about.Hatta wrote:Yes I'd relocate for a job. No, I would not relocate to Texas. Well... MAYBE Austin Texas. No offense intended Hobie-Wan. But those who are not are outnumbered by those who are. That's the case in Nebraska too, but the rednecks here are at least mild-mannered.

Most Texans are surprisingly mild mannered actually, at least where I live. Of course, I don't live near any of the major cities or metropolitan areas so it might be different there.

But there's the BLAZING HEAT down there!
Admittedly the humidity in KS is horrendous.
