Hello,
I play emulation of 16bit games on my modded Wii,
is there a hack or a mod that I can get infinite lives or not get hurt in those games?

i am not sure what game genie or par codes are, I also heard of something called game shark but never used it even on real consoles back in the day.
I use emulators on Wii like Snes9x and Genesis Plus GX

Re: Infinite Lives
for snes9x you use game genie codes and for genesis+GX and FCEUltra you need to find the rom for the game genie then use the codes.kingmohd84 wrote:i am not sure what game genie or par codes are, I also heard of something called game shark but never used it even on real consoles back in the day.

Game Sharks, Game Genies and Pro Action Replays access and change data before the game accesses it, letting the player address certain changes.
http://www.gamegenie.com/ - here are codes.

woah i was just looking at that website and saw the level select code for Zanac (NES)vlame wrote: http://www.gamegenie.com/ - here are codes.
would resetting the system really matter? that seems crazy to me. any other codes where you have to reset the NES a certain number of times? I've never heard of that before...Level select:
Reset the NES system thirteen times, then press Select.
Choose the "Continue" option and press Left
or Right to select a starting level. Press Start
to begin game play.

Re: Infinite Lives
Yes it does. That is really how the level select works. There was a Genesis X-Men game that told you to 'reset the computer' to continue the game. It actually meant reset your Genesis.EllertMichael wrote:woah i was just looking at that website and saw the level select code for Zanac (NES)would resetting the system really matter? that seems crazy to me. any other codes where you have to reset the NES a certain number of times? Resetting the Computer
At the time of its release, this was one of the few games which broke the 4th wall. Once Mojo is defeated, the player must "reset the computer" for the Danger Room to stop the virus being emitted on Mojo's level. However, there are no switches for doing so. Resetting the computer is meant to be literal, in that the player has to lightly press the reset button on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis console before the time ran out. If executed well, the game will display digits as if a computer has been reset.
Although unique, this trick was widely panned by both video game magazine critics and consumers. Holding down the reset button too long would simply reset the system to the title screen as one would normally expect. This also makes the game impossible to complete when playing on the Sega Nomad and emulators without using a level select cheat, as the portable Sega Mega Drive/Genesis has no reset button.

Re: Infinite Lives
- this is what a game genie is. when you bought a GGenie back in the day you actually got a code book, the website has the codes from the code books or new ones that people made.kingmohd84 wrote:vlame

basically it all goes like this. find the Game Genie rom and place it somewhere where the emu will look for it, then use the codes in the link i sent you...this is for emulators only.Added Game Genie support - required GG rom placed at /fceugx/gg.rom
