That's what I was thinking. I'd think Sony would have learned their lesson, considering they experienced it first-hand with the PS3 in 2006/7, and second-hand with the 3DS earlier this year. I guess some people/companies never learn...

There are certain companies that can charge a premium for their product, on the strength of their brand name. Prada comes to mind. Sony is not one of those companies, and they need to realize this.

Only thing is that Vita won't catch up to 3ds sales like ps3 did to 360.

You have to remember that (smart phones aside) there isn't two dangerous, direct competitors, like Wii and 360 were, now there's only Nintendo with 3DS, which to my understanding has much more to worry about than Sony. So they might as well ask that higher price, I can't see 50$ price cut making them sell better. It would be different if 3DS were selling like crazy at full price.

I'm seriously considering it right now. Launch line-up looks really good.

I saw somewhere there was going to be a pretty nice bundle at launch with Uncharted, I'll see if I can find the details.

I'll buy it the instant Persona 4: The Golden comes out. Probably not until then, though.
