Kid friendly Halloween films that adults can tolerate?

I'm just kidding. I saw Labyrinth in the theatre when I was little and it was my favorite movie at the time. It's a great show for kids. But even at that age I noticed that Bowie's hoggle was rather large. We used to joke that he kept his extra crystal balls in there.

Psh, I was watching Are You Afraid of the Dark around that age. Granted, some episodes would creep the shit out of me.

Yes, yes, yes! I use to watch this movie every year on the Disney channel but I haven't seen it in ages. Funny but slightly messed up at the same time. Good combo. It's also one of the few Sarah Jessica Parker (Aka Foot Face) roles I really enjoy. I'm definitely going to down some Belvedere and watch this on Halloween.

Kid friendly Halloween movies... all the ones that come to my mind have already been mentioned. For me, so long as it doesn't give my 5 year old nightmares (which takes away from my sleepy time) I'm cool with it, lol.

If my TV guide is right, Hocus Pocus and Beettlejuice are on the Family channel tonight at 7. So if you're worried about language they'll both be nicely edited for four ear old ears

And monster movies are very much a part of the holiday, so may I also suggest a Godzilla movie? I know I really enjoyed them when I was that age (I still enjoy them now. Who am I kidding). It confused the hell out of me when their mouths didn't match up to the words, but then Godzilla showed up and I forgot all about it

this reminds me, there's a Wes Craven movie I've never seen. It's a kids movie called Casebusters about a brother and sister who investigate a crime or something. Anyway, I guess it was show on Disney Chanel or something back in the 80's. I don't think it ever had a VHS release (maybe it did??) but definitely no DVD release. Has any of you seen it? In the off chance anyone has it taped and buried in dust, I'll be yr best friend if you make me a copy.

Still love Labyrinth, as not only is it a timeless film with timeless music, it also was the first time I fell in love with Jennifer Connelly.

I've met famous people. Hell, I met Michael Jordan and Walter Payton in the same day, but some people are so beautiful that just their looks will leave you speechless. She seems to be one of those people who could leave you tongue tied just by looking at them. I could probably pull it off better these days now that I'm married and I just don't hit on girls intentionally anymore, but a "I'm sorry. To be honest I'm a little intimidated by how pretty you are", if said with complete honesty would go a long way (as long as the girl wasn't stuck up of course).

True story: Had a friend in undergrad who would date the cutest damned girls. Though he didn't score often, as well, he was a douche, but he had some awesome pick up "routines". One thing he would do is after he first met a girl, he would turn to me and loudly whisper "Oh dude. She's so cute". Obviously the girl would overhear it and blush. Then he'd do the same thing with the next girl, "Oh dude. She's so cute". What would end up happening is that all the girls heard the same thing, and each girl would get pissed at him using the same approach.

The crazy thing is that by the end of the night, each girl would walk up to him and ask him who he really thought was truly cute, and he'd end up with tons of phone numbers by the end of the night. In short, he knew how to get into their minds with really easy tricks.

Not the way to meet your wife, but hey, it's a great way to have a girl remember you.

A couple that I thought were good were Mr. Boogedy and Bride of Boogedy. Unfortunately, they are only available on DVD "copies" through various web sites.

I forgot about Mr. Boogedy. That was a fun movie. I can't seem to find a trailer for it, just random scenes. I had no idea there was a Bride of Boogedy.

The whole thing is on youtube in parts. I never realized that the daughter in the first one was played by Kristy Swanson.
