3 looked good I thought, havent seen the 2nd, and yes, the first sucked.

I actually fell asleep watching the first Paranormal Activity. It was so boring.

Did you see it in the theater?

Lots of mixed reviews, most negative ones are from people who watched it at home (basing that on reviews from pre and post home release). I thought it was just okay, but just okay seems to be fine these days as far as movies go.

Man, if you guys feel that way about Paranormal Activity, I'd hate to see what you guys think of Insidious.

the first half was really good. The second half was terrible and made me mad that the movie had even been made.

No, I watched it alone at home. I was told the best ways to watch it were in the theater or alone in the dark, and since it wasn't in the theater anymore I tried the later. As someone with a background in film, the places they sat the camera also really bothered took me out of the movie and kept me from suspending my disbelief. It was trying to look like found footage but the camera placement seemed too deliberate to me.
