Murray Street is probably my 2nd favorite SY album. But Evol is just a record I've been going back to and adored for well over a decade. As you said, their discography is filled with countless incredible records though. Arguing over it is silly, as it's obviously a personal thing. The opening chords of "Tom Violence" trigger all kinds of shit in my ears and heart that are built upon my own memories, experiences and feelings. I can't expect anyone to hear what I hear the same way. Sometimes I think it's funny that people argue over art at all -- movies, music, books, games -- we can try all we want to say "This is better than that and here's why" but in the end it's such a personal thing. The way we each take the art in and process it is nearly ineffible. /ramble
Never heard of her? Well, feel free to thank me later. I highly suggest you click this link and instantly minimize your browser and listen. After that, actually watch the video and I'm sure you'll be a little surprised. Such an incredible voice.

I've always been a fan of the early no wave stuff they did. "confusion is sex and self titled." are my favorite two. The Burning Spear and Inhuman are my two favorite songs off those records.
Confusion Is Sex is another favorite of mine, yes. It's so amazing beginning to end. I love the s/t as well. "Burning Spear" is definitely one of my favorites. I love the dub-style bassline in it.
Thanks!
I've been surprised that so many people on the forum have similar taste in music to me. I'd like to thank everyone for introducing me to tons of new stuff as well!

SY has been my favorite band for well over a decade. They're one of my hugest obsessions.
